Seems like all we get on racestud is people wanting to put some thing down about a track or the ones putting on the show. But i think every one would have to admit that WRP had a lot a new things going on last night. It was a great night of racing and things for the fans. At first it didnt look like it was going to be a good night didnt look like to many cars but it seems like every one tends to roll in late at WRP. I was glad to see the 360,s back and they put on a good show. Along with all the other classes there was some great racing action. It was nice to see Terry Hull making a showing. I think him and the hippie put a good show of side by side racing. Nice to see post getting i think another win he seems to have the place fiqured out. Only bad thing last night was Jerry Butler taking a nasty every one was glad to see him up and walking around that is always the best thing to see . All in all i think it was a step forward last night for WRP.

Right before the truck feature I got a text from Punkin that he thought he would be lucky to keep the truck in one piece. I thought "ooooh no, one of those nights!" After the feature I got another text "I wanna do it again!" Got home and stayed up till 4am talking about what a great night it was. The person sitting beside me brought 2 people that had never been to the races before so hopefully we gained 2 more fans! I saw someone on facebook that said it was their first time to the track and they would be back. We had 2 family members go that had never been there so although it may be a little slow and a few people at a time, I think the fan base is starting to grow.

I know its been a hard year for the track, but I think the field is paying it forward and the futures looking pretty good. The entire crew at the track are as good as they come. And with Dean showing his softer side again this Sat with the race benefit for Kids with cancer, I mean wow, great racing, great friends great times. Thanks ;) Oh and I hope to see some pics of Dan's newest racer on here soon. Maybe Kenny could take some pics and write up the whole story. Well maybe not the entire story. hehe

I would love to agree with you skip, but I had a major family commitment on Sat. evening.

The closest I could get to WRP on Sat., was Captain's Point restaurant in Lakeview B)

And here I thought we were the only ones up that late. We, too sat outside until 4am talking about Saturday nights event as well as reminisced about races past(especially with my Dads Memorial Race coming this Friday). I know the crowd wasnt huge Saturday, but they were really into the races, and sounded like they had fun. I sincerely hope that maybe we're turning the corner, and the word spreads about our great track, and when I say 'our', I mean all of us, staff, crews, drivers, fans. Thank you to everyone who has supported us at WRP this year and into the future.

After a night of racing at the 'field, we're very often up very late (often, all night), chatting about the night's events - good or bad.

Love that/Miss that - but coming soon, to a theater near you.

Can't wait to get back out there!!!!

I think Waynesfield is a nice facility. The track has been smooth on my visits, shows are run thru in a timely manor. Sometimes there is dust, but c'mon it is a dirt track. Every track has its problems at times, but always give them another chance. People will always complain no matter what, but to me, Dean you are doing a fine job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
